Busy day today with visitors, volunteers, farrier, (and who knows what I’ve forgotten!). But wanted to do a quick post on this newbie!

Yesterday we were contacted by a friend at auction about this little lad. We of course said “yes bid!” since we had the room. Late last night we got home and he is settling in well this am. He’s said to be a yearling, is a bit thin, has lots of bruising in his feet (pink spots on hooves) and has “yucky” skin issues. With just the right nutrition, some deworming, and a little TLC help he will come around fairly quick however.

Poor guy, I want to call him, Scurvy, so with that thought, I starting thinking of pirates and formed Davie Jones. So everyone welcome little Davie to STBDR.
