Yesterday was a "testicle festival" here at the rescue! Castration is a big step in the process of getting the male donkeys ready for a new home. Big thanks to the veterinarian staff at West Metro Equine Practice Medical Center and the students who were able to come out yesterday for our “testicle festival”, and thanks to Dr. Matt of Triple Oaks Equine for coming and helping on his day off.
As well as big thanks to Susan, Jolene and “the kids” that came and helped.
Due to time restraints we were able to get 6 jacks castrated (had 11 for them). All the donkeys are doing well after their surgeries!
